Butterfly Cakes πŸ¦‹


Today, I made butterfly cakes! In case you don’t know, they are cupcakes (normally vanilla) that you cut the top off and take out some of the middle to put in icing. The butterfly shape is made by cutting the piece you took off in half and sticking on top with the buttercream. I did some with vanilla cake and vanilla icing (the normal way you do it) and some vanilla sponge and chocolate buttercream (not traditional). If you want to make them, I recommend using a butterfly cakes recipe, or making a basic cupcake and simple icing and just do what I explained above.

Even though they are so simple, they taste so good! They are a good thing for beginners, so even if you don’t bake often, you should be able to do this.
