Sachertorte


This is my favourite cake. I love chocolate cake, but this is even nicer. If you don’t know what Sachertorte is, you will soon find out. It is a chocolate cake made with ground almonds instead of flour, with apricot jam spread on top. Then, melted chocolate is added to it.

If you make it, I recommend making the chocolate cake the day before, if you are making it to take somewhere. Because the cake can be very sweet, I suggest serving it with creme fraîche.
