chicken pie
Today I made a chicken pie.
I made shortcrust pastry using butter and flour. For the filling, I used butter, flour, half a stock cube, milk, chicken and sweetcorn.

Here is the recipe for my shortcrust pastry.
Ingredients:
150g butter
300g plain flour
cold water
1 egg, beaten
Preheat the oven to 180 fan. Put the butter and flour in a bowl. Rub the butter between your fingers until your mixture represents coarse sand. Add the water, about a table spoon at a time. When your pastry has come together, leave it to chill in the fridge for about half an hour. Roll it out and you can use it in a pie or a quiche. You can also use your pastry for pastry biscuits (see below).

Shortcrust pastry (see above)
1 egg, beaten
Roll out your pastry and cut out shapes. It is is easiest if you use cookie cutters to make shapes. beat the egg and egg wash your biscuits. Put them in the oven until they are golden brown.
That pie looks so yummy, The colouring is perfect, it’s almost like a fairy tale pie.
